Do I need a prescription?
Yes, a prescription comes first. Your own doctor can write it, or we can connect you with a physician in our referral network for an evaluation.
What is the chamber?
The OxyHealth Vitaeris 320 is a soft-sided chamber that runs at 1.3 ATA, filled with room air by a compressor. It's an FDA-cleared Class II medical device, cleared by prescription for acute mountain sickness.
What are your safety rules?
Every adult who will use the chamber is trained at setup. A second adult stays nearby and awake during every session. Nothing electronic or flammable goes inside the chamber.
Will you promise me results?
No. We never promise a health result. Your doctor is the right person for questions about your health, and we'll always tell you if a chamber at home isn't the right fit.
What does a session feel like?
You sit or lie down inside, zip up and breathe normally. For the first few minutes your ears may pop, a lot like a plane taking off. Most people read a paper book or rest. It can get warm, so a small fan outside the chamber helps.
Will it fit in my home?
The chamber needs about 8 by 3 feet of floor space and plugs into a standard wall outlet. Most clients set it up in a bedroom, office or den.
Where do you deliver?
Delivery, setup, training and pickup are free in Collin, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant and Wise counties. Outside DFW, we ship nationwide and walk you through setup by Zoom.
Do you take insurance?
We don't bill insurance. We'll go over pricing, the deposit and the rent-to-buy credit on your free consult.
